Yesterday, I managed to write around 2000 words of the one of the short stories. I’m now about a chapter away from finishing the first draft of part one—maybe about 1500-2000 more words. After I clean it up I’ll post that on the Human Resource page in the menu. I’m not going to publish it in the store until after I finish part two.
This story, or rather, pair of stories, are linked by a single event. Like the others, they take place on Terra and the first one involves one of the characters I introduced in Puppetry and who passed through a scene towards the end of Etiquette of Empire.
Even though I don’t like to jump around when I’m working on multiple things, I seem to have been doing that a lot recently.
Today, I wrote around 2000 words (so far) of the third Cyanide Blue novel. I’m still at the very beginning, but if feels like progress. It’s definitely easier to write when the core characters are in my head and already have their own personalities, quirks and voices, (and especially when two of them are based loosely on long-lost friends.)
